The Difference of SAE Adapter BSPP, BSPT and BSPF

SAE Adapter BSP is a general call, it is divided into three types of BSPP, BSPT, BSPF.

1.BSPP is the short name of British Standard Pipe Parallel Thread. SAE adapter BSPP only has the internal thread, equivalent to the domestic 55 degree pipe (parallel) thread, namely is G. Usually manual processing.

2.BSPT denotes British Standard Taper Pipe Thread, its tooth-typed angle of the thread is 55 degree, with a 1:16 taper thread, equivalent to the domestic 55-degree taper pipe thread, namely is ZG. It fits with the internal thread of BSPP, but is incompatible with US-made 60-degree angled tapered pipe thread NPT.

3.BSPF means British Standard Pipe Fine Hand Taps, SAE Adapter BSPF's tooth-typed angle of the thread is 55 degree, with a 1:16 taper thread, BSPP and BSPT are used for sealing connection, BSPF is for general connection. BSPP and BSPF are both parallel pipe threads.
