What to Note in the Process of Installing the Hydraulic Flange?

1. Hydraulic flanges should be hard enough to prevent being deformed in tightening; flange sealing surface should be clean, the oil and rust on it need be carefully cleaned out before the mounting.

2. The gasket should have good oil resistance and anti-aging properties, as well as good elasticity and mechanical strength, according to the shapes of the junction, selecting gaskets of different cross-section and size, and placing them correctly.

3. Hydraulic flange solid force should be uniform. Pad compression is generally controlled in about 1/3.

4. Raised face flange has a circular surface without bolt holes that allowing the easy making of homemade gasket. Under the same bolt pre-load forces, a smaller contact surface helps increase pad compression, which is easier for sealing. When the deformation occurred, if it overall contacts and without the protrusion, pre-load forces would be not fully utilized when scattering to the outer edge. After flange is docking, the outer edges form slits, it is conducive to the demolition.
